What is a small cell?
When you drive on a highway, you likely pass cell towers—they've become part of the everyday landscape. What you may not notice are small cells.
Traditional towers cover large areas, but in busy places like downtowns, neighborhoods, and near venues, the signal can get strained or blocked by buildings. That's where small cells come in.
Small cells are compact, discrete antennas often mounted on streetlights or utility poles. Most people don't even notice them. By placing small cells throughout communities, we help fill coverage gaps and add capacity where people live, work, and gather.
